Review # 1 was written on 2012-01-19 00:00:00 Gilles Salmon The initial chapters are workmanlike and technically savvy about BAFs' concepts, charming and clear and recommended for beginners in that it won't talk down to them. The later chapter on Deleuze seems as optimistic for the implications of his thought as it is an encapsulation of everything objectionable about him. Apropos nada, was this book even proofread? Takeaway: "Although Capital, like the Bible, is more widely discussed than carefully read, there are certain ways in which 'we have all read, and all do read Capital' (13)." |
Review # 2 was written on 2020-03-29 00:00:00 Bonita Rothschild I have never imagined I could enjoy a book about literary theories as much as I did. This book offers an amazing, EASY, introduction to almost all literary schools, in a simple way. The book is a page-turner! |
