still reading. But if you've ever wanted to read relentlessly detailed essays on social stereotypes of the sixties, written with just the right amount of disdain for its subject, this is the book for you.

Sixties People by Jane and Michael Stern (Alfred A Knopf 1990) (973.92). This is a light and interesting take on the classes of people that dominated the youth media of the nineteen-sixties. These classes each receive separate chapters including playboys, folkies, the British, hippies, rebels, surfers, and the Young Vulgarians. My rating: 7/10, finished 2/15/15.
