Review # 1 was written on 2010-07-28 00:00:00 Luc Alexandre A nice source of information on the PNI era, but her own insights undermine her central argument. Saying that Brazilian informatics capacity to supply local demand was a positive result of the policy while also noting that 70% of the Brazilian national market was grey- and black-market imports in the early 90's does not exactly fuel you with confidence on her central point. |

Review # 3 was written on 2015-05-06 00:00:00 Susan Breese Absolutely the best book on statistics I have read. If you must learn statistics - read this book and have some practice. Don't bother with courses, seminars, or other books. It explains statistical concepts, and does it well, unlike other stat books that just tell you, in excruciatingly boring detail, the steps required to calculate standardized scores, confidence intervals, etc. |
