Review # 1 was written on 2021-02-06 00:00:00 Tracy Franklin I can imagine loving this as an 18-year-old who'd never before given any serious thought to the way the world works; which is to say, it reads as if it was written by a 21-year-old who's recently learnt a bit about how the world works. As a dyed-in-the-wool neo-Marxist, of course I don't mind reading affirmations of my own worldview, but that this book is a prescribed university-level anthropology text is astonishing.
