Review # 1 was written on 2019-05-03 00:00:00 Larry Pierce I read the third edition of this. No prior knowledge of the subject is necessary. If you're reasonably bright, you'll be able to grok it. It's really an introductory textbook for the price of a popular science book (it's very reasonable on the Kindle store at least). It meets my requirements for ideal nonfiction: huge amounts of detailed information conveyed effectively and concisely, with minimal personal opinion and speculation, and it's not dumbed-down.

Review # 2 was written on 2016-10-11 00:00:00 Joanne Horaski Steger seems to be qualified to climb the academic ladder, the outside world being quite foreign for his understanding.
