Review # 1 was written on 2015-06-30 00:00:00 Sergio Lima I am not very fond of abandonment-prodigal son themes in love stories. I feel like I am the type of person to really not see beyond the years of neglect and missed time with kids. Especially with love stories wherein, years have passed and they have acknowledged the child but chose themselves beyond that love. |
Review # 2 was written on 2018-07-04 00:00:00 Phyllis De Rolland I like Jill Shalvis's books. They are always intriguing and her sense of character keeps them from becoming repetitive and boring. In this one, Ben, the male MC, has a deep, dark secret that he does not want his ex-love Rachel, nor his daughter Emily, to know about. Unfortunately that secret affects their lives, and he has to try to make things right, which is not an easy thing for him to do. While nearly impossible for the two of them to sort things out, there is a HEA for those who like that type of ending. |
