Talk about your hot teachers! Sheila Lawson is happy with her job as manager of Timberlake Lodge, especially when she sees a very sexy re-enactment volunteer across the lobby in skintight buckskin pants. However, Sheila has to take a step back when she realizes that sexy Chief Black Hawk is actually Douglas Wagner, her high school history teacher. Not only that, but Mr. Wagner has his eyes on her, and he likes what he sees. I just have to say that this was such a fun story to read. I loved that they had this background foundation to start from, even if it was a teacher-student relationship, that blossomed into something more. The whole thing just made me smile. The interactions between Sheila and Douglas were so intriguing that I kept picking the book up after I finished it to go back and read a few of the scenes a second time. I couldn't help re-reading some of my favorite moments between the two of them. I also liked how, despite the fact that they were teacher and student in the past, they aren't so far apart in age that the interactions seem strange and the people in town really enjoy seeing the two of them together. I also like how we start getting a little more information about the possible truth behind the fire from book 1 and start heading towards a conclusion for that situation, even if it isn't solved at the end of this book. Overall, my favorite of the series so far.

It took me a long time to get into the book and more than a month to finish it. Cute story with likeable characters but my interest wasn't there. I wanted to know more about Jon Weiss and why he is behaving so strangely not only in this book but in the previous ones. Does it have anything to do with fire at F & M? Overall I'm liking the series, all books can't be four or five stars.
