[ Her side: OW would call the house and hang up with then I answered. His side: I didn't realize she was doing this a lot - but what's a few phone calls? You're just hard and unfeeling. Feel sorry for the OW! Her side: Hero was working all the time. His side: I thought you were independent and didn't care. Her side: I showed you love in the bedroom. His side: You didn't want to have kids, ice queen. Her side: I did want to have kids but I was afraid I'd be a terrible mother like mine. His side: You didn't show any emotion when you miscarried and I blamed you for it. Her side: I like order because things were so unpredictable when I was growing up. His side: It's really hard to be around someone who is a perfectionist. Her side: You never contacted me after I walked out. His side: Mother was dying. Her side: What kind of freak takes me to the foster home/orphanage I would have to stay at when my mother abandoned me and my father had to work? His side: You need to get over yourself to be a proper wife to me. Her side: The OW shows up and tells me the real story - she is one obsessed woman. His side: I told you I bring all the ladies to the yard. Her side: We did have fun being snowed in for a week in Cumbria. His side: I'm going to sell the house because it has too many memories. Her side: It has rats! His side: You scared off the purchaser! Her side: I know. You told me to take a risk and I'm showing my vulnerability here. His side: I guess I shouldn't have said that about your being glad to miscarry. And now I can finally bask in your regard for my awesomeness - like it should be. Her side: Toddler in the epilogue? His side: How else are they going to know you got over yourself? (hide spoiler)]

Jared seemed to constantly blame Taylor for the demise of their marriage. He tells her that it was her petty jealousies and suspicions that broke them up in the first place so the late night phone calls from the ex-mistress, Alicia, didnt contribute? His constant working and being out of town played no part? Not really knowing and/or sharing things w/ his wife had no impact on the failure of their marriage? Nope its all her fault! I wonder if the fact that he revealed to his wife that he loved Alicia could have contributed to the jealousies and suspicions as well? Jared never trusted Taylor enough to share all the gritty details involving Alicia and he didnt share them in the end either, those came from Alicia a known liar and manipulator. Of course, Jared gets upset that Taylor didnt share important details about her past w/ him either and even then he didnt share the details about Alicia w/ her. Sure Taylor had a lot of baggage from the past and she comes to see how that impacts her relationships but it sure would have helped if he had at least told her that he loved her and put more effort into their marriage as well. Three weeks after Alicias husband finally dies she comes to see Jared and ends up getting very ill. Of course Jared know about his wifes jealousies and suspicions and the fact that he is trying to win her back, but he thinks it is a fabulous idea to move Alicia into his apartment to take care of her. He claims that she didnt know anyone else and she is so sick she couldnt be left on her own. Im not sure why a nurse cant be hired or why he couldnt move her in w/ his assistant as he ended up doing later. I also wondered why Jared thought Alicia was coming to see him. He never said, but he seemed eager to see her. Why did he maintain contact w/ her over the years knowing that she lied about being divorced? If Jareds code of being a gentleman kept him from revealing facts to Taylor then how does Alicia know so much about their relationship enough to claim that Taylor lost him all on her own? Plus how did Alicia know where Taylor lived? If Jared is so brilliant and knows that Taylor is so insecure then why move Alicia in with him? If he was so adamant on building trust w/ Taylor then he shouldnt be insisting on blind trust when he withheld things from her. Alicia cant seem to keep her story straight. She claimed to have loved Jared and then later in same conversation when questioned about her actions she decided it was more of an obsession; then she states that she stayed in Jareds apartment after discharge from the hospital and then she states that she went to stay w/ Jareds assistant and his wife after being discharged from the hospital as Jared felt this was best under the circumstances. (I wonder if those circumstances would be the truth finally being revealed from her. So he doesnt want to be around her now after discovering that, but he felt it was okay to have her there in his apartment before discovering how truly revolting she is? He put his relationship w/ Taylor in further jeopardy for Alicia especially after they seemed to finally be making amends.) I cant imagine any person wanting their significant other to invite an ex-lover to live with them for a while. Jared never revealed any more of his relationship w/ Alicia to Taylor and if it wasnt for other people she wouldnt know what she does know. I dont see much hope for their relationship unless she is willing to always accept the blame for things and change her ways to accommodate him.
