Review # 1 was written on 2011-09-30 00:00:00 Nicole Walley 5 Stars! ~ Joining the Global Aid Org. as a frontline Dr. to Sherazad was a way to put her past behind her and focus on the needs of others. She knew working in the refugee camp in the Balkans was going to be very dangerous but she was eager to learn from the famous Italian Dr. in charge. Lorenzo made a promise to his dying brother that he'd make a difference in the world by helping the victims of senseless war. When Sherazad joins his team, he can't deny the effect she has on him . This is the first Harlequin Medical I've ever read. I'm so glad I chose Ms. Gates! This is an intensely emotional story. Action packed, it moves along at an incredible pace. And yet the characters are very real, and very well developed. You find yourself knowing who these people are, there are no doubts. I will definitely be purchasing more from Ms. Gates! What an incredible read!
