Two lonely people, Henry Sheldrake and Githa James, who did not know how to love. They were immediately and overwhelmingly attracted to each other but neither one believes in forever. Can't quite put my finger on why I liked this one so much. Each character was remote and isolated, but when put together the magic slowly and subtly started to change each of them.

I really enjoyed this read. The H/h have incredible chemistry and despite reasons to resist, they can't. The H doesn't do love, marriage, or even emotions. He's basically emotionless and doesn't allow anyone to know him. Also from the beginning the reader knows that the H has some preconceived erroneous perceptions about the h. The h is totally unaware of these preconceptions altho at times she gets the feeling that he doesn't see her as she is. The h is not too sexually experienced but as a model knows that she gives the perception that she is more sophisticated than she really is. She is uneasy with the relationship because she doesn't really know the H and is uncomfortable with sex without love muchless the feeling she sometimes has that the H doesn't even like her. In addition to the above conflict, the h is being stalked and she's beginning to fear that the H has something to do with this. So what's not to like? There is chemistry, conflict and eventually mucho angst. The perfect HP read.
