Review # 1 was written on 2020-09-19 00:00:00 Cris Du I would prefer that this story could be more of Second Chance Romance so I really didn't like when I found out about the cheating part. You could do this story without it but I think maybe the author wrote it that way to be more realistic or be related to reality lmao. I was really mad at heroine for being a moron and a selfish bitch but throughout the whole story I am glad that she acknowledged herself that what she did is wrong and feeling remorseful. I mean like what the heck was she thinking? You are in a relationship but thinking of other man in your mind the whole time. It would be a mess that's for sure. But seriously that cheating part really dampened my mood to enjoy the erotic part of the story. She said: "My life was just too sad for words." And I literally said it out loud girl you brought it on yourself soooo Well good job to author the ending was cleverly spun around and nice.

I ordered some books from The Ripped Bodice and as part of the care package they would add some ole� Harlequin books to the box for a couple dollars. This was one of those. A quick read, and better than I expected. CW for cheating. The one with Denise, what a name, and Redford. Denise is a NYC gal, orderly, frugal, working at a financial firm. Redford is a retired Marine, working at his family horse farm in KY. They met 3 years ago in Vegas, got married over the weekend and after a week he had to return to duty. Denise panics after returning home and filed for an annulment a few weeks later. Oh, and the week they spent together was the most amazing sex ever. Denise is now dating a boring Barry. She gets audited by the IRS for the year she jointly filed with Redford. So- they have to meet again. They still have amazing chemistry. Redford is still hot, and a gentleman.
