Review # 1 was written on 2013-07-01 00:00:00 Andrew Niederdorfer I am re-reading all my 5 star rated romance novels. There are 63 on my shelf (and counting). This is book 55. (Tropes: Scarred (him - blind), Ex supermodel) This is how my 55th re-read held up. I think my initial review was based on very little experience with the romance genre. I felt mostly awkward re-reading it, and cringed quite a few times. Changed from 5 to 1.5 stars - Her hand stilled as she realized what she was doing. Brendan couldn�t see what she looked like! The realization was a surprisingly freeing thought. Tonight she would be judged solely on her character and conversation, on what she was like as a person. Her looks would never even enter into the mix. - It might be freeing, but it also was terrifying, she decided. What if she wasn�t an interesting person? - An unexpected bolt of white-hot desire flashed through her, and she sucked in a breath as her body arched against him. �Wait!� she gasped, not entirely sure what she even meant. But he only shook his head as his mouth traveled down her throat and sought her breast, beginning to suckle her, right through the fabric of her shirt and bra. �Can�t.�

Review # 2 was written on 2013-12-10 00:00:00 joseph kuhn 4 Stars Highly recommended contemporary Harlequin-Desire romance. Sensual. Heart warming. Realistic. Original. Romance between a blind lawyer hero and a wealthy philanthropic ex-super model heroine. Hero and Heroine attend Christmas related family and work events. Some minor suspension of reality required for the brief interlude of the overall romance(approximately 1 month), and some minor reader frustration with a brief misunderstanding between H&h(a few days). Overall, a unique plot and setting, smooth writing style, appealing hero and heroine, hot sex scenes, and interesting well researched details about the seeing impaired life style and the location's history, etc. make for one good read.
