I must admit I haven't read any category romance for ages but since I do like Cindy Gerard, I thought I'd try this Northern Lights trilogy of hers. It was ok. Blue is a really persistent suitor, who hasn't forgotten Maggie even though it's been 15 years since they saw each other when they were both teenagers. He seems to come to the idea that Maggie is his forever pretty quickly. Maggie, on the other hand, has a lot of trust issues, mainly from her childhood and her relationship with her ex and is not inclined to believe Blue's sincerity. However, it all got resolved pretty simply in the end when she went back to New York. But it was a bit disappointing as we never actually get to see how she confronted her ex. There is a very interesting secondary character in the book though, the stoic Abel Greene. I'm actually looking forward to the next book where he's the main character as it seems like he's got a lot of secrets.

This was really cute! Loved the suspense, too. Full review to come!
