Review # 2 was written on 2014-08-29 00:00:00 Mark Strange Last summer I picked up a sackful of romance novels from a library in small town Minnesota. I'm slowly making my way through it - I'm so addicted to my ebook reader that I rarely touch paper. Even though this book is nearly 20 years old, it didn�t feel that data. It�s hard to believe it was a category book from the 90�s but some of those books are written in a timeless manner. After a near death experience, our heroine decides she doesn�t want to die a virgin so she propositions her downstairs neighbor to do the deed, no strings attached. He immediately rejects the proposition in horror. When realizes she�s serious, he accepts hoping that he can stall her untill she comes to her senses. He wines and dines her and she�s hoping it will happen, but every time they come close to doing the deed something interferes. He�s her landlord and the building is populated with an eccentric group of characters. They all adore Peachy and are very concerned about her getting involved with Luc . Eventually Peachy and Luc do the deed, but it�s as much to Luc�s benefit as Peachy�s. He finally learns what family and love can look like. The book was fun with entertaining supporting characters. My biggest complain is that the actual falling in love part was given short shrift - it felt like it was dropped in as an afterthought. I�m very happy I found this little book in that paper bag! 4/5 on romance scale.
