Review # 1 was written on 2020-09-20 00:00:00 Matthew Shea "His Cinderella Mistress" is the story of January and Max. I decided to read this because I really enjoyed book two, and wanted to know what was up with the youngest Calendar sister. The plot involves our hero, a successful lawyer travelling to acquire a land for his friend and boss. He plans to speak to the Calendar sisters and coerce them to abandon their ancestral property so a resort can be built on it. What he does not expect is to meet the heroine, and be completely smitten by her. He begins a pursuit, and she reciprocates, only for them to realize each other's identity. The heroine begins fighting him off, he tries to resist her but fails, some mild drama ensues and it ends in a HEA. Contrary to the title, there is no "mistress" drama involved in this book. Instead, it's a sweet love story with a temperamental heroine, a devoted but haughty hero and likable siblings. A random stalker plot mixed in the middle, but it's all good at the end. Safe 2.75/5
