Rogue's Widow, Gentleman's Wife is an intriguing story about a twisted set of events that brings together two beautiful people together. The story is suspiciously similar to Kathleen's Woodiwiss' "Shanna", which may take from the suspense of the story for Shanna's readers. Since I have read and enjoyed Woodiwiss' Shanna immensely, I was able to predict future events and anticipate the characters' attitudes before they occur - not the best of situations when reading an enjoyable novel. Nonetheless, in my opinion, Dickson was able to change the plot and storytelling just enough to claim some ownership to them. Consequently, I was not bored while reading this novel, but found the experience pleasant enough. I recommend this book to those who are interested in historical romances involving England and the U.S.

a Good start with interesting plot, but then the story dwindled into boring actions and tedious conversations.
