Review # 1 was written on 2016-12-20 00:00:00 Richard Barrena DNF, THIS STORY JUST IRRITATED THE HELL OUT OF ME. MAYBE THE PLOT MIGHT HAVE BEEN GOOD, I WOULDNT KNOW BUT THE HERO WAS JUST BAHHH. Forget a romantic story or romantic tragedy because this story is already a tragedy at the first chapter. The way the hero 'raped' the heroine while he was soused, and threw money at her after he was done, was the deal breaker. I enjoy bodice rippers (but this ain't one) and masochist RELATIONSHIPS with angst in my stories but this one was just pathetic, The CHARACTERS met, had fast sex and eight years later they meet again but the hero doesn't know he has a daughter and what do you know he claims he hasn't forgotten her all those years. UGH save me the bullshit, he obviously doesn't remember her first and the setting just wasn't INTERESTING enough to boost the story and the hero just seems weak and selfish, so no thank you this was a bad story.

Review # 2 was written on 2019-02-25 00:00:00 Maureen Steinhauer 3.9 Sometimes I thought to myself how I wished the conversation between Anthony and Catie was better but oh well, that's probably how I feel about every single book. Still wondering how Anthony managed to escape at the end. I wish that was explained more.
