Review # 1 was written on 2018-01-14 00:00:00 Ryan McCannell Rating 3.5 stars This one was nice and sweet with an adorable child. The heroine has spent her life pleasing her father while the hero has done the opposite. These two have ignored each other despite being neighbours for two years but it changes when the hero finds a little girl sleeping in the alley. They get closer because of Becky and fall for each other. The book brought a smile to my face and I wanna read the sequel. |
Review # 2 was written on 2017-07-15 00:00:00 Joseph Pisano Tell me a Story is the tale of Flynn and Ann.. and Becky. Flynn is mourning his brothers death on his birthday, when a tiny hand in the alley pulls him out of his alcoholic haze, and he realizes it belongs to a small child called Becky. He then takes in Becky whose mother has taken off and is afraid of been taken away by welfare, when a small accident makes him contact his neighbor Ann, the doctor, who clearly disapproves of him and his lifestyle. The book then revolves around Flynn and Ann falling in love with Becky, and later with each other, finding the truth and reality about Beckys family, dealing with disapproving parents and each others expectations. What a beautiful, beautiful story. Full of tender moments, love and a good deal of emotions and angst- Tell Me a Story takes us on a roller coaster ride filled with happiness and tears. The love between Flynn and Ann is strong, there are no misunderstanding, and Becky is the sweetest kid ever. Adored the ending and the epilogue- and I cant wait to read about Becky and her father in the next story. Never read a Dallas book I didnt love, and this was no exception. Safe 5/5 |
