Promises by Judith Arnold This is one part of the trilogy that starts out with 6 that get together, 2 male, 4 females to form the Dream magazine. 15 years later they regroup and celebrate. This is at the time of the late 60's where I was only 16 so many of the life events I still recall and how they have made an impact on my current life. This story concentrates on Laura and her daughter-Rita and Seth who was also a founder of Dream. Love the travel and treasures they find as they seek adventure in their travels. Love their work choices and can't wait to read the other two books, concentrating on the others. Like choices they make and what the options are. I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

This is the first book I've read by this author and it was quite easy to get into. There were some comical moments with some believable characters which made it a joy to read. There were some aspects that I thought were puzzling for example, a highly stressed actress eating her way through a pack of English muffins (think of those carbs!). Everything then slotted into place when I realised the book was written in the early 1990s. If you're looking for a light entertaining read, this is the book for you.
