I have a soft spot for Jungle Romances, ever since I saw Romancing the Stone. This one is surprisingly emotional, even with guerilla-fighters, a missing ex-husband, some stuff about medicines and other random plots. But it also features a hero whose son went missing in the jungle, and that's rather poignant at times. However, thanks to all that stuff, the romance never reall reaches a high-point, so it didn't end up very memorable. When it comes to category romances in the jungle, I much prefer the following:

Just could not get into it. I read romance opposite of most people. I read the story and skim over the sex. It could have been a really good story if all the characters had been developed a little more, that would have made for a longer book, but a more interesting story. Also Dude in the book is hairy and Dude on the cover has not one hair below the neck. "...Even his pores were sexy...." EEWWWW! Holes in your face that collect oil and dirt.....Tasty. Blah!
