Destiny's Child They lived next door for years. Each lived in land that their grandfather's own for generations. But when her father lost their land to him during a game of cards her world was lost. Though Jed kept an eye on her and her older brother she hated him as much as she had once loved him. Fast forward years later she works for him as a pilot. She still feels that it is hate in her blood for hi m. But there is also a fire beginning to burn in a way that she vowed never to let out again. Will these two star crossed lovers find out that they need each other? Or will her old fears once again ruin things that are more long lasting than hate?

I read Destiny's Child for the first time when I was eighteen. It's amazing to me how youth affords you blinders that adulthood quickly melts away. Maturity now allows me to see just how intense Jeb and Megan's relationship was. How can a relationship shrouded by pride, lies and family ties truly stand a chance? Like the rumblings of a storm as it prepares to shake up it's mark, Destiny's Child blows me away just as much today with emotions that speak to the heart.
