Review # 1 was written on 2018-02-22 00:00:00 Nicola Sicilia A pretty depressing tale about a manwhore who after twenty years of manwhoring around the globe finally settles for the widow next door because she is SUPER convenient: satisfying in bed, can design a mean website, does gardening and probably will be stellar housekeeper/cook/and let's not forget mother to his children. It's not that I thought he was going to cheat on her, I am pretty sure he will remain faithful but only as long as she fulfills the job description. I did not feel any love at all from him, and it was especially eeky to start off the story with him slobbering all over a bitchy OW who made fun of heroine's big nose. His story that as a war reporter, he had not wanted to marry or have children in case he died, and instead engaged in meaningless liaisons with bimbos because they both knew the score and had to fulfill their sexual urges was as disgusting as it was laughable. Way to make your selfish, soulless manwhoring into a laudable, noble self-sacrifice! Ugh! He was gross. The poor martyr, spineless heroine, I only felt sorry for. There was no silver lining in the clouds for her none whatsoever. From negligent, unaffectionate parents, to an awkward mommy's boy first husband who didn't know what to do in bed, to this prize of a hero. I mean, we just have to be happy for her because she is happy, right? *eye roll*
