Actual rating: 3.5 Finally, the story is staying interesting and not straying too much with nonsense. We're getting some back story as well, which is good. And I'm really digging Negi as a bad ass :-p I think the story will remain interesting as we continue on in the magic world. Hopefully after that, it'll remain so.

So the main plot finally takes off again. Most of the Negi crew have found each other in Ostia (some in a quite silly Deus Ex Machina way, like Saotome and her 150,000 drachma skyship - hope that's explained later) and we get to see some of the Magia Erebea in action. In a rather strange turn, Fate Averruncus makes contact instead of attacking and Rakan finally starts to provide some of the missing pieces when it comes to Asuna's past, Ala Rubra and Negi's father. I think the main, overarching plot of the whole manga is finally getting underway.
