Review # 1 was written on 2020-06-04 00:00:00 John Connell We're right around the halfway point, and I'm torn between rushing to see where exactly xxxHOLIC is going and how it ends, and slowing down to savor it. This isn't high-powered, high-stakes reading--not much actually happens in any given volume. (Readers are supposed to be turning to Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle for their action fix, is my impression.) For me this story is much more "about" the feeling of reading it than plot: taking in the art, enjoying the characters and situations and supernatural creatures. There's a very minor scene featuring a Tsubasa character late in this volume, but since the cross-overs haven't been overbearing since the first volume or two, I'll forgive a few panels of it here and there.

Review # 2 was written on 2008-08-05 00:00:00 Patriece Foster This was interesting because there's finally another seemingly normal character that can see spirits like Kimihiro. It'll be neat to see how that shapes up in the next volume.
