Review # 1 was written on 2009-04-29 00:00:00 John Falkinburg Extremely serious book about memory and all subtypes of memory (personal, cultural, collective etc). There are clear references to authorities in the domain. What I liked is that I found not only eulogies but also severe criticism (of Halbwachs, for example). The whole book deserves 5 stars. However I would have added a richer bibliography for trauma. A book I really enjoyed. |
Review # 2 was written on 2012-03-14 00:00:00 John Pitchford Jr A good introduction to some of the most important Western 'grand theorists' of the previous century. |
