Oh god, this was ghastly. Look, nobody could love the Bloomsburies more than me but this book is so dated and dreary, please just look at the pictures and don't read the text which has the words 'Jewess' and 'dusky-skinned' and basically laughs off Duncan Grant's pattern of picking up teenage boys which I am pretty sure is the behavior of a sexual predator. I need a shower! Still, I love the art.

Not easy, but worthwhile. Slightly deluded woman (with regards to her own situation and status) surrounded by objectionable people who really are all privileged and closeted. Having said that it was illuminating and fairly readable.
