Review # 1 was written on 2014-11-07 00:00:00 Margaret Hopkins I don't recommend this book. I used it as a basis for teaching a Transportation Management course and after chapter 4 gave up and created my own material while looking for a new book. As an industry professional with 30 years of experience, I found the book to be out of touch with modern transportation theory and practice. It has a heavy slant to pre-deregulatory transportation and did a poor job of explaining in clear and simple terms how modern transportation works. It did not provide a very dynamic supply chain perspective and was extremely difficult to get good data from for presentation purposes. Student uniformly found the book difficult to read, extremely difficult to understand and impossible to apply.

Review # 2 was written on 2017-03-12 00:00:00 Marc Blumberg I would definitely recommend this book to other to learn more about the transportation. Very informative.
