Being a young teen girl can be hard at times. You want to go with your first instinct. You run into some of the greatest temptations of your life. Like all teens you want to be in the "IN CROWD". This book THE REAL DEAL isn't just your average book full of pages with written. This book actually is like having your own personal little guiding person in your back pocket. As a teen girl not only do you run into personal problems, and any teen girl knows of what I'm talking about (you know with puberty).A lot of the time we find our selves in issues with relationships. We find ourselves giving our heart away and getting it broken. Or we find peer pressure attacking us with lies of wealth, benefits and attention(particularly from guys). That may seem really great at first until you realize the time and energy you put forth wasn't worth it. Realizing that the thing you thought was REAL and TRUE was more of your imagination than anything. At times we find our selves drowning in tears looking back at how foolish we were. Feelings of regret, Distrust and paranoia all coming back, to the point you want to give up on this so call"LOVE ". To add on to the problems...we try to "fit in", No one really wants to be an outcast though. So in order to keep up with everyone else, why not do what everyone else is doing? They say if you can't beat them join them.this goes into the desire for attention. Believe it or not , there's no shame in the game. Today what was thought to be an insult actually became an complement. Just by my own experience i have seen girls giggle to insults as if it was an great compliment. Such as "ooh baby ya butt getting bigga" If that ain't disrespectful i don't know what is, but hey... guess things change. Today it seems as if girls will give anything for attention.Looking around I can't help but to wonder ,why do they think belts were invented. As I continue to read this book I learn many things which help me to grow wiser. I've learned the importance of just being yourself and trying your best to improve yourself. The real deal has shown me to put God first. Also I have learned to not follow everyone else.
