Review # 1 was written on 2010-01-24 00:00:00 Gary Bongolan This book is not an easy read for Hong Kong if one is not familiar with Hong Kong's economic and financial systems, but it's a rewarding one that identifies one of Hong Kong's core strengths as a successful economy: the sprawling global and regional connections that facilitate trade and investment. Hong Kong flourished because it is the epicentre of trade and finance between the the West and the East, which no other states were able to accomplish. Overall, I think that it is a must read for anyone who wishes to understand why Hong Kong succeeds economically. |
Review # 2 was written on 2012-01-07 00:00:00 Vicki Nichols It was good, but did not include much about the direct impacts of globalisation which I was looking for. |
