Review # 1 was written on 2011-06-27 00:00:00 Mark Scythian Exaimes political, economic, and social conditions that led to the Civil War. Each region was like a seperate nation. Good foundation material to help understand why the war happened and why it was so brutal.

Review # 2 was written on 2019-02-17 00:00:00 Raymond Ancheta First off, Kaye and I have completely opposite political views. This is one reason I loved this book. Kaye reveals the history and reasoning behind his liberal political views. Half the book is on Paine, the other on the ripple Paine's thoughts left in history. Interesting and thought provoking.
