Review # 2 was written on 2010-12-09 00:00:00 Garath Brougham So far I'm enjoying this book, much more than I thought I would. It's primarily comprised of Tolstoy's piece The School at Yasnaya Polyana with other, shorter essays included. I bought this book because I learned that my husband's great-grandfather was a teacher at this school and knew Tolstoy, so I thought it would be interesting to learn more about it. What's interesting is that now, during the lockdown when I am homeschooling my daughter, I am finding a lot of what Tolstoy relates to be helpful to me and I want to incorporate some of his style into our lives. |
