Review # 1 was written on 2014-07-21 00:00:00 robert sucku Extremely interesting! Sarah Beckwith's chapter on the blitz ruins of medieval churches not as relevant to my Macaulay research as hoped, but some excellent work in this book. May prove relevant to doctoral topic? Excellent to see chapter penned by a former professor of mine, who taught me my Middle En. glish vowels and remember fondly for heavily intimating homoerotic subtext in Le Morte d'Arthur and Gawaine and the Green Knight. |
Review # 2 was written on 2013-08-24 00:00:00 John Faragher It is clear, concise, balanced, not too difficult but not too simplistic. Excellent overview of the essential forms, genres, and actors of Hellenic civilization. |
