Review # 1 was written on 2014-09-18 00:00:00 Robert Gabardy Some want to analyze or criticize the female role, and they use Hegel's thought to do so. I like that. Others want to analyze or criticize what Hegel thought of the female role. Don't waste my time. Hegel is a worthy object of study, but not when chiseled down to his few words on femininity. |
Review # 2 was written on 2015-04-22 00:00:00 Ira Tumblin I have found this an immensely suggestive book, collecting as it does essays from both prominent and rising figures in feminist philosophy of knowledge--albeit from about two decades ago. I am struck by how little impact feminist thought, even of this high and generally temperate quality, has had on evangelical theology, to the shame of my guild. If you're new to the idea, let alone the discourse, of feminist epistemology, this is an excellent place to start. |
