What's particularly cool about them is often broadsheets would appear to be little more than song lyrics, sensational news stories, or poems etc, when really the subtext was a call to arms against the Porfirio Diaz regime. His dictatorship was so repressive that opponents to it had no voice, so this was a sneaky, clever and creative way for the rebels to get their message out. Posada is remembered as more than just an artist, he's considered a revolutionary.
