I enjoyed the book mostly because I can relate to Albert's journey, and I admire him and others in the WCG hierarchy for following what they believed was right, in spite of the losses they faced. The author has not mastered his theology (his understanding of the Church, for example, is lacking), but he does have some good insights that should be helpful to anyone questioning their Armstrongist beliefs about the law. He shares his own journey but does not claim to have all the answers. His humility is endearing. I recommend this book to those who share a similar background, but not to anyone else. There are much better books about biblical covenants, but this one approaches it in a way that is more understandable to those who are used to old-school WCG logic and writing style. |
