01-01-09! Aloha from Eden Roc, Hawaii, This is the most rewarding book I have ever found (well, besides books by or English translations of Nietzsche). I took PHIL 494, Nietzsche & Asian Philosophy this past Fall 2008 Semester at the University of Hawaii at Hilo which lead me to the Mookini Library "B 3313" shelf where I found Sleinis's book. I started reading it, discovered I liked it so much, I immediately ordered it in paperback online. See, I like to not just read books, but really like to make lots of marks in them (using a highlighter and bold ink pen)! Simply said, Sleinis's book lead me to Ahern's: "Nietzsche as Cultural Physician" which is the only text currently pre-empting me from finishing Sleinis on "Revaluation." When I returned the Sleinis hardcopy to the Circulation Desk at school, I told the workers and students Dana, Nichol, and others: "This is the best book in this library--You should check it out and read it." I mean it. Enjoy reading this book. Revaluation!, Randy Rambo

Well certainly those racial chapters weren't from Nietzsche, but from his antisemitic sister... Really sometimes is really hard to understand where is Nietzsche and he isn't, for example there is so much emphasis on the eternal recurence and to the aristocratic class priority, and strangely enough in some parts it is talked about this strange leader, who seems pretty much as a dictator to me. Sure it wasn't Nietzsche doing on those ones... but rather when in the book it speaks about the noble man, the artist, about decadence, about the lonely person and yeah off course The Will to Power. I think we can find the old Nietzsche perspective on those themes.
