This book details specific tax avoidance suggestions for real estate investors. I was very interested in much of this book, but I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 5 for three reasons. First, the editing is a mess in this book. I found many grammatical errors. He really needs an editor (I'm guessing he self-edits). Secondly, he recommends that real estate investors hold title as sole proprietors because it's simplest. Sure, it's simplest but that's terrifying advice. He recommends just getting enough insurance to cover yourself in case you get sued. My husband (an attorney) and I opt to wrap our properties in LLC's AND buy adequate insurance coverage. Third, I thought parts of the book were very out of date. For example, he spends several pages at the beginning discussing a particular google search from 2001. He actually talks about the first hit and analyzes it, then the second hit, etc... It's not relevant at all in 2014. I understand that this is the 19th edition, but he should remove some parts like the 2001 google search results about a particular topic (Starker).
