Highly recommended reference for any elementary or middle school librarian. (Second edition) This book is 1000 pages. Yes, there are that many series in children's lit today. The book is well organzied - the series listed from A to Z, then series for boys, then girls, series for reluctant readers and ESL students. Indexes are by author, title and genre. A must have! Book is expensive and I got from my local library.

I'm a homeschooling mother of 3. I found myself constantly referring to this book at the library when trying to find books to engage my 7 y.o. This book has been instrumental in generating his interest. I know that series books are constantly evolving, but this is a great resource tool. I used it so much that I ended up purchasing a used ex-lib copy from amazon. Well worth it!
