Review # 1 was written on 2012-06-27 00:00:00 Lorrie Rockman While I enjoyed this book at first, it started to drag throughout the second half -- but not at the fault of the writer. The trouble is, it's hard to appreciate love letters if they're not for you. And when there are 114 of them, expressing the same sentiment in word after word after word, they start to blend together. For me, I feel like I've never wanted something to end more quickly. But for Carol, to whom the letters were addressed? I can only imagine her elation at being wooed by her own Cyrano de Bergerac.

Review # 2 was written on 2011-08-14 00:00:00 Wilfred Gonzalez I gave it three stars because it is so repetitive. However, since it is a memoir that is probably unfair. I realy liked and like Mike Royko and I feel bad that there love story was interrupted very early because of her death.
