Review # 1 was written on 2013-07-05 00:00:00 Patricia Noggle Its a very good book, Harootunian is a fantastic historian with original ideas, however he is the WORST writer I have ever seen. You'll get a lot out of it, but reading this was a very slow and painful process. You'll have to read everything about 3 times, and even then you wont quite get it. And he loves the word 'discourse', though he doesn't always use it in the right way |
