My reading list says that I finished this in March of 2006, so we'll go with that. In truth, I read pieces of it here and there throughout a period of several years, in which it was constantly recalled from me by others library users before I finished it. So judging the collection overall is a little difficult. Most of the pieces are pulled from Critical Inquiry, which Davidson also edits. I do remember particularly enjoying the final piece by Paul Veyne, "The Final Foucault and His Ethics." Also notable for containing the debate between Foucault and Noam Chomsky. If I remember correctly, Chomsky's view, though well-informed, felt a little flat in comparison to Foucault. But I would need to re-read it so say any more than that, or to justify that impression.

A great collection of essays centering around Michel Foucault's texts. In particular there is a section devoted to Foucault's work entitled History of Madness. Contributions from Michel Serres (on Space), Jacques Derrida (on psychoanalysis), Gilles Deleuze (on Dispositif), Arnold Davidson, and even Foucault's dissertation advisor Georges Canguilheim make this book a seminal text for Foucault scholars.
