Review # 2 was written on 2011-10-19 00:00:00 Randy Everett Dated, but that's not too surprising, considering this was published in 1984. Comes from a secular viewpoint, so as a Christian, I did not agree with a lot of the author's advice. For instance, she says that older women should not marry younger men, but only take them as lovers; that way they get the benefits of being with a younger man without people looking down on her. She assumes that all couples have sex before marriage (no, there are still some of us that stick to traditional values). She basically views marriage as a contract or business merger with constant negotiations, rather than a covenant. Whether you find this book useful or not will depend on how you view marriage.
