Review # 2 was written on 2010-01-23 00:00:00 Demarco Tiger An okay overview dealing with the question of why, when in 1500 it looked as if France would be the dominant political player for the upcoming century, England and the Netherlands took the lead. Answers lie in the Wars of Religion and the monarchy's fiscal policy focusing on military campaigns paid for with credit.
