Review # 1 was written on 2020-02-13 00:00:00 Guy Francois Sarah Atherlay's Math in the Bath (and Other Fun Places, Too!) is a fun children's book explaining how you can find math every where and anywhere and not even know it. From the moment you wake up until the moment you count sheep in an attempt to fall asleep, Atherlay explains how math is just part of our every day lives. Megan Halsey's illustrations are bright and colorful. Each page beautifully coincides with the author's very simplistic description of how one comes into contact with math, be it through time, shapes, counting chairs, reading music, or patterns. Several of the pages show one concept and take a colorful two-page spread to illustrate it. Although this book was from my middle school library, I feel early elementary children are the target audience. |
Review # 2 was written on 2018-08-09 00:00:00 Sylvain Hamilton Such a fun book to get students thinking about math! Great idea suggested by the author to have students make their own pages! Colorful, animated illustrations. |
