Review # 2 was written on 2016-10-19 00:00:00 Harriett Miriam E Mcildoon I read this book in university in a course taught by Dr. Osborne in 1974 in the midst of the Vietnam War. I recall the section on the Philippines made the most profound impact on me, given the Islamic insurgency had not been given much exposure in the West. Facing the draft, I zoned out the rest. In re-reading the book, whilst dated and with much content overtaken by events, I was struck again by his erudition and insightfulness.
