Probably the best guide to claw hammer banjo on the market. Great sections on technique. It is worth getting the DVD to see the demonstrations. The pictures in the book aren't as clear as they could be.

All things considered this is, in the end, a college textbook not something you read for pleasure. That said, this is one of the easiest text books to read and comprehend you'll find. The book uses simple language, definitions, and great examples. This book will give you all the tools needed to become a good speaker and do well in the course work which for me involved both giving speeches and taking tests. So if you're professor assigns this one stand up and cheer because unlike the rest of your textbooks it's an easy read and it's an affordable paperback.
