Review # 1 was written on 2018-06-22 00:00:00 Gregory Wynne Don't let the title fool you, this book is far more than a treatise on sound design for theatre applications. It is an excellent introductory/reference tome on sound design, recording and basic electronics. Unfortunately, the book is out-of-print. When I was at Ithaca College in the late 1990's, Dr. Bracewell was working on a second edition. He has now retired from IC and the second edition has yet to be published. There are fairly expensive "spiral-bound" copies floating around on Amazon.com from time to time. These are most likely the photocopied versions of the book Dr. Bracewell sold to his classes and to other schools using the book after it went out of print. If you can find this book, it is well worth owning.
