Review # 1 was written on 2014-12-25 00:00:00 Mark Emory Too academical to my taste. Plenty of long lists of concepts and classification that are impractical. Good as reference book for research studies.

Review # 2 was written on 2018-04-22 00:00:00 Ton Tonov I have a very old edition of this with a blue cover, which was originally my dad's, but he let me have it when I was about 7 or 8 and first started learning music in the juniors at primary school! I guess he figured it was of more use and relevance to me than it was to him. He was right. :)
