Review # 2 was written on 2010-02-17 00:00:00 John Golden Sharing time with a parent is hard to do sometimes. This Mother's Day Gilbert wants his mother all to himself but little sister Lola keeps getting in the way. We have all had those days where nothing goes right at all and we get frustrated. In this story the character is definitely having one of those days. This is a great book to explain that everyone gets frustrated with themselves at some point in their lives. There are good ways to deal with it and bad ways. This book gives the reader good ideas of how to do good things for someone else even if it is not easy. Sharing is another thing that is hard for young children whether it is with a parent, friend or even a teacher. This book is written to say that it is not always easy to share and it is easy to get jealous, but it teaches a lesson of how to deal with those emotions. |
