Playboy (Argentina) Magazine History

Playboy is an American men's magazine that features photographs of nude women as well as journalism and fiction. It was founded in Chicago in 1953 by Hugh Hefner and his associates.

Playboy started making an Argentinian version of the magazine in June 1985. It was not profitable so printing was discontinued in December 1995.

Because the Argentinian economy picked up steam Playboy decided to reissue the magazine December 2005, and since the magazine is now profitable it continues to be printed in Argentina.
